Breaking The Rule

I think there is one thing a painter learns in

the beginning, and that is "do not mix oils and acry-

lics!" 

I asked my teacher if he'd ever done that, and he 

said "nope, i just know your not supposed to." So that

day, i knew i had to try it and this is what happened! 

It was the most exciting thing to see.  I laid down

a very wet acrylic surface over the entire canvas. 

Then i made a really liquidy oil and let one little drop 

fall on the acrylic. 

The whole thing erupted! from a clean smooth sur-

face.  All of these holes and spots showed up everywhere!

I didnt know what to do... i was just stuck looking at it!

But i could see if started to form back together... So i

snapped a picture before it fixed itself.
