Tess' Birthday!

Today is my sisters birthday! She turns 19, give or take a year. Pretty sure its 19. Or 18. Surely not 20?

Anyways, Tess recently moved out of the house! Recent, as in, like 2 weeks ago! (While I was in St. Louis, as it turns out). So I missed the move.

Okay, so back to Birthday! Each year, for birthdays and Christmas and other gift giving occasions, we (my sister and I) try and outdo each-other with absurd gift wrapping. For example, last Christmas, Tess gave me a gift card to Hobby Lobby (I know! Awesome, right?). But the way she wrapped it was by stuffing it into one of those white mask things you get at a place like (oh I don't know) Hobby Lobby, then wrapping the mask directly (no box, just mask). So it looked odd and simply unguessable.

Alright, so with all that in mind. My gift to her for her birthday is a gift card as well (can't go wrong with Starbucks!). Trying to outdo our previous wrapping battles (yo yo yo, wazzup - - not that kind of rapping), I figured out the perfect solution! I found a big piece of cardboard and some bubble wrap. Then I duck-taped the card behind the bubble wrap and stuck that on the back of the big piece of cardbaord. Symbolizes her big move, right? I'm sure she'll get it.

So, now it will be up to her to outdo that! Good luck sis.

Crikey, ain't she a beaut'!

This weekend was an extra-long weekend; it started on Thursday for me! Thursday was my Saturday and I did busy work and chores and this and that.

Friday, Ryan and I went to Pinnacle! We went up the "back" way and ran into a ...er... MASSIVE snake!!! He was six foot long if he was a foot, and we could see the poison dripping from its 3inch fangs! But 6ft poison monsters are nothing to Ryan and I: one double-team judo chop, and it knew we meant business.

On Saturday, I went to the Art Center to see the Young Arkansas Artists exhibit! Amazing things kids k-12th did was displayed! After that I went to the lake in front of the Art Center to see the geese and ducks. Then I went to see a movie called Limitless (it was okay..) with Ryan and Teng .

Finally, the moon. It was the biggest its been in 20 years! So my dad, my mom, my aunt (oh yeah, forgot to mention my aunt came by this weekend!), and me walked up to the field to see it! Oh, and Moose was there too.

Week with my new Camera!

Today marks a week sense I got my new camera for my birthday!! I've been excited and have taken pictures everyday! The first to shots are the birthday cake and dancing celebration, and the rest is various things from throughout the week.

This first week, I decided to try and figure out as much as I could about the camera without reading the book. So, for week two I will start reading up and see if I can improve!
